About the Team

Financing Engineering builds the systems that make travel more accessible — the credit, instalment, and pay-later experiences that decide a price is never the barrier between a traveller and their trip. You will engineer real-time credit decisioning, instalment flows, and payment journeys that hold up across Southeast Asia's wildly different markets, where regulation, credit infrastructure, and consumer readiness are never the same twice.

This is product engineering with real stakes: every checkout you ship moves money and trust. You will own services end to end across backend, web, and mobile, design for resilience and compliance from the first line of code, and watch your work convert into trips taken by millions. About the Job

As a Manager, Mobile Engineering in Traveloka's Financing Engineering team, you own the delivery and the people of a small mobile team — staying hands-on enough that your direction holds in review, while taking on the first layer of people leadership.

• Own the delivery of Financing mobile commitments through your team — sequence the work, unblock the engineers, and stand behind what ships
• Set the architectural direction for the team's work and hold the quality bar through hands-on review
• Run the team's engineering practice — review standards, crash-free rate, release health, on-call
• Stay close to the work without becoming the bottleneck
• Grow each engineer through 1:1s, goal-setting, and honest feedback, and surface performance conversations early rather than letting them drift
• Translate roadmap into execution with clear ownership, and represent the team's priorities and push back on scope with evidence
• Set how the team uses AI tools and hold the line on responsible, validated use

Job Requirements

• You have at least 8 years of mobile engineering, including leading a small team.
• You still write and review enough mobile code that your team trusts your technical judgment.
• You can set the architectural direction for their work.
• You have led the delivery of a mobile project through a small team — you broke the work down and you unblocked people.
• You were accountable for it landing at quality through the release cycle.
• You grow the engineers around you with specific, honest feedback.
• You have helped someone level up because of how you coached them.
• You handle first-line people responsibility — 1:1s, goal-setting, honest performance conversations.
• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent depth from real-world engineering.
• You run the team's practice (review standards, crash-free rate, release health) without becoming the bottleneck.
• You set how your team uses AI tools.
• You communicate clearly with product and adjacent teams.
• You push back on scope with evidence.
